Baking soda, whiter teeth

I’ve read it many times, and since I have my clear power chain now, I want something stronger than just the normal whitening toothpaste.

I googled it and it said that it’s not recommended to use it too often, so I’ve decided saturdays will be cleaning day. That way, I can’t hurt my teeth by using it too often, and if it really helps, I am doing it.

I started last saturday, and even though the taste is…not tasteful, my teeth did seem cleaner.

Friday findings

  • When shopping , it helps to have the discount coupons, otherwise you pay full price (because you are too embarrassed to give it back to the lady, even though you ONLY bought it because you though it was on sale)
  • Inception is a lot of things, but a thriller, it is not!
  • DIY hair color changes are still the cheapest way to go; IMHO, it pays of to get your hair cut by a professional, but for coloring…not necessary! (I’m red now, btw)
  • After 20 days in bottom braces, my teeth are already moving; I am touching one of  the bottom braces  with my top teeth
  • I am not a fan of Avon mineral foundation; makes my skin look…like a paper, like a dead person skin…and I think I figured out the ArtDeco rich treatment foundation secret; less is more!
  • Forgot what last one was!

How hard can it be????

To find a picture of a woman in a robe? Like normal ratty robe, worn over sweatpants, not some silky little see-through sexy robe.

I was writting a post and wanted to add an image, but I can’t even come close to what I want to find!!

Teething

My teeth hurt on touch! After 18 days of bottom braces!! They haven’t for a while, but two days ago, it started again.

They also are/feel very wobbly, I don’t know how it would be if I wouldn’t have those thingies in that prevent my teeth from touching. That way, I just feel like I am teething the whole time, but when I touch them with my tounge, it feels like I can move them. So I don’t do that much.

I still can’t bite in hard things, like my bottom teeth have no strength (because they are all wobbly) so I have developed a technique. I use my tounge instead of my bottom teeth as a “support”  when I bite into things. It can only be used on softer things anyway, but whatever helps!

I am seriously considering a chewing  gum. I think it would have massaging purpose.

But the best is looking at my perfect upper arch. They are so beautiful, round, one next to another, and the braces sit on the middle, ahhhhh…

The miracle of tea tree oil

I’ve been reading about it for a long time, and then *gasp* I found it in our bathroom. that is sort of a miracle, since my mom & bro aren’t lotions & potions kind of people. Now that I’ve read what it’s about, I belive one of them must of used it for athlete’s foot (TMI?  😉 ).

Anyway, since I’ve read how wonderful it is supposed to work on pimples/acne/ blemishes, I tried it and fell in love. It’s like those immediate responce blemish gels, but natural and it works better, imho.

You can google it for yourself, this is a short introduction; Tea tree is native to Australia, where it was a traditional medicine for the Aboriginal people. Despite its name, it is unrelated to the tea which can be found in most kitchens. Rather it was named by Captain Cook who, upon reaching Australia, brewed a tea-like drink from the leaves.

Tea tree oil has anaesthetic, anti-bacterial, antiseptic and anti-fungal properties.

People use tea tree oil for the following conditions & other uses:

  • Acne, athlete’s foot, dandruff, vaginitis, thrush, periodontal disease, as an antiseptic, boils, lice, eczema, psoriasis, yeast infection
  • natural deodorizer; add a few drops of tea tree oil to your wash to help deodorize clothes to get rid of odors
  • if you add few drops of tea tree oil to your household cleaning solution, it will help repel insects
  • it helps disinfect areas that may harbor bacteria and viruses

As allways, it can cause irritation, and it should not be taken internally, even in small quantities.

Some tea tree oil smell stronger then others for several reasons, including different generic properties or diferent distilation techniques. There is no scientific evidence of differing aroma’s affecting the effectivnes of tea tree oil.

Studies – While numerous laboratory studies have demonstrated antimicrobial properties of tea tree oil (likely due to the compound terpinen-4-ol), only a small number of high-quality trials have been published. Human studies have focused on the use of topical tea tree oil for fungal infections (including fungal infections of the nails and athlete’s foot), acne, and vaginal infections. However, there is a lack of definitive available evidence for the use of tea tree oil in any of these conditions, and further study is warranted.

Getting high

Yep, I sure am.

Even though I am trying really hard not to.

unfortunately, I’ve been over generous with furniture polish while cleaning my desk and now my room stinks.

I have a bandana on my face, but it’s not helping much; I have all the windows open, I am burning some lemon essential oil, but the smell is still strong!

I just hope the air will be better before I go to sleep!

Vienna steak, for lazy cooks who like doing dishes

Some history and a picture so you know what I’m talking about today. The only downside of it is the amount the dishes you need to do afterwards 🙂

You need:

  • white four,
  • bread crumbs&
  • an egg
  • piece of meat (can be pork, turkey, beef, original is veal).

So; massage the stake a bit with some salt& pepper  and whatever you usually use; in three plates (I use soup plates), prepare  – in this order; first one flour, then bread crumbs, then a beaten egg.

The amount varies from how much meat you have, go wonder 🙂

First you coat the “stake” in flour, lightly, then dip in egg, lastly, in breadcrumbs.

Don’t go easy on the oil, heat the pan, and fry on medium heat…untill it’s golden brown.

Can be served in a sandwich, with baked potatoes…as you wish!

Enjoy 🙂
