The cherry pie story

So, I made a cherry pie crumble!

This is the basic recipe, I changed it some…

I don’t have potato starch, or guar gum, or almond flour; so I added more corn starch and tapioca instead of almond.

So, the dough did not work. At all. I basically had to take small pieces of dough and put it in the pie pan and then press together so they formed the bottom – like pieces of puzzle. Afterwards, it did crumble some, but oh well, nothing major.

I added some rhubarb, just because we have it, and didn’t have lime, but I like the filling just fine. I also didn’t add the oats in the crumble, again, I don’t miss it – but I am no pie expert at all.

So – the pie dough remains a mystery to me – yet I like this pie just fine! 🙂
