I spluged (again)

I bought tea.

I figure, I drink a  liter or two every single day, it should at least be quality stuff.

So I mostly have black teas, so I went for green. I told the lady that  wanted one that costs around 10€ for 100 grams (yes, that is splurging for me!)

I bought kukicha tea, because it filled other requirements, such as that it goes well with sugar, and without any additional flavours etc added.

“”Also known as Twig Tea, Kukicha Green Tea is a Japanese tea prepared from the stems and stalks of the tea shrub, Camellia sinensi. The twigs are pruned from the shrub, steamed and dried, and then aged and roasted.
Kukicha Green Tea is rich in many healthy properties that include minerals , Vitamin, Theanine, Catechins (polyphenols), Flavonoids, and Amino Acids.

Kukicha Green Tea is rich in antioxidants which protect cell tissues from the damaging effects of oxygen thus aiding in achieving healthy skin. The catechin known as epigallocatechin (EGCG) contains 25-100 times more antioxidants than Vitamins C and E.””

I found the quotes  here. I shortened them, obviously.

I like it. It’s not strong, but I’ve only made it once,  and I strictly followed the “2 minute steeping time”, so…I’m having fun with it 🙂
