A good tip for baking in cake forms

It is how to make a circle shape of baking paper! Until today, I cut a big square over the cake form, poured the batter in, and cut the pointy ends so they didn’t stick s high in the air. When I went to make this cake today, I finally googled “how to cut a circle baking”. And this is what I found.

This is all great, BUT I didn’t do the measuring thing like she does. I cut the whole way up, where the triangle forms (when you fold it, you know what I mean), because I want the sides to be covered too, not just the bottom. It saves sooo much washing!!

Hated the plot, read it in one gulp till 1.30 in the morning

First of all, awful, awful first chapter. Listen to this; he, a famous hunk athlete, sees her, an event planner and a single mom, at a party. The conversation; so, you planed a nice event; thank you; you are famous and I can always see you with models on dates, I know you are not really interested in me, I am such a hag compare to them, you can go now; but no, they are all superficial and self-centered, I would much rather have a meaningful conversation, just like we are having now.
And so on.
After they have banging sex for months, after he introduces her to his family, she still expects him to dump her any second “because we don’t have a relationship, just sex”. And she sees him at an event with another movie star, and already starts thinking sure, I am nothing to him, just somebody I had sex with for months”, and not “he told me repeatedly this is a part of his job and his agent is tough and makes him appear a player”. And than he is not so sure, and then she is not so sure….it draaaaaags foreveeeer….But I still couldn’t stop and go to sleep and continue in the morning. I had to finish it. And was even more happy when I saw that the second book si about his agent, I expect more from them, this heroine was a little wilty imho…

(Oh oh. Didn’t write down the title or the author, and this was written weeks ago. Sorry!!!!!!!!! I did read the second book, liked it better! ))

Wounded!

Well, not fatally – I have wounds in my moth. Or are they called sores?

No idea what happened, but a few spots suddenly appeared three days ago, and even though this things usually heal overnight, mine didn’t. Totally my fault – I wore my retainer! In the morning, when I took it off, it was like it glued itself to my gums and mouth, and it was even worse! It felt like I tore of tiny pieces as I took it of! It hurt! That is why I haven’t worn it for the past two nights, in hopes it will heal. But before I go to bed tonight, I’ll do the salt water rinse, I remember it helped with sores when I still had my braces *smiles fondly* (Have I told you my friend sent me a framed photo of us , and it’s just huge smiles headshot, and I still had braces, and it hangs right here on my wall, and I just love it :)…Speaking of this, I think around this time was the time I got braces!! Holly crap, two years ago!! *goes checking*It was the 27th! I’ll make ¬†a post about being debraced for sure, because I was thinking how I never post about teeth anymore, and how I really should shortly…I will!

Anyhow, I just hope my sores get better, because they frikking hurt, and I want to eat an orange! (Can’t because it stings ūüė¶ )

Middle city haul

I went to the Middle city, where they have a drug store that we don’t have here in Little city, and spend some money…Some of this was on sale, so I had to buy it, other I just wanted to ūüôā

Toni& Guy¬†shine enhance shampoo(last one). It says “rich cleansing for maximum shine”. Just what I want!!

Alva Roll on deo, coconut ¬†& lime. Smells interesting, as of how it works, can’t say yet, it’s only been a few days!

Stippling brush, by UBU; it’s pink! So pretty!! I tried it twice so far, and I like it better than the other kind of¬†foundation¬†brush. ((I went looking for reviews on this brand, because it’s one of¬†the¬†few available here, and found this; after reading how much pink washed out, I ran in the bathroom with my brush. Yes, I was a bad girl and didn’t wash it yet. And It wasn’t that bad. After pressing it down really hard, some pink came out; but none after first two times of washing it only where I use it (first 2/3 rds of the brush. So It was “deep down”, where it does not come in¬†the¬†contact¬†with my skin, and I don’t want to wash it that way because I am sure it will harm the brush.

Catrice waterproof, lashes to kill volume mascara

Catrice nail varnish; in 020, ¬†Cotton candy at eiffel tower and ¬†in 050, Moulin rouge light. Candy is invisible (I did not want that) and ¬†Moulin is a shade too orangy. I can’t find a suitable nude shade for my nails!!

Catrice prime and fine, translucent loose powder.  I quite like this. It does prolong the life of my foundation and blush! I tried applying it with brush, but I felt like my pores were a bit more visible; than with a sponge (the way Wayne from gossmakeupartist on you tube does it, and I think this is better!

Pads for the loose powder.

Two sets of those soft sponge rollers for curling hair, that you can sleep in.

Garnier intensive hydra locking hand cream. Small but powerful.

Baby wipes by our national brand, only cost 1,50 ‚ā¨, and I love them!! Just right amount of dampness! But I am using first the oily ones, than go over with this one – otherwise I’ll never use the oily ones to the end!

another gf carrot cake

I used this recipe!

(((Completely btw Р)I also found this page, with a lot of useful tips!

This are the ingredients, and I think that for like the first time ever, I followed the recipe! (except the golden syrup, we don’t have this here. )

  • Olive oil, to grease
  • 2 (about 300g) carrots
  • 1 cup (150g) self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup (75g) plain flour
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (80g) brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup (185ml) oil
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) golden syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
    1. Preheat oven to 170¬įC. Grease a 20cm (base) round cake pan lightly with oil, and line with non-stick baking paper. Peel and grate the carrots, and set aside. Sift the flours, bicarbonate of soda and cinnamon into a large bowl.
    2. Put the brown sugar, oil, golden syrup, eggs and vanilla in a separate bowl. Use a balloon whisk to mix until combined.
    3. Pour the oil mixture into the dry ingredients. Use a wooden spoon to stir gently until just combined. Stir in the grated carrot.
    4. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 1 hour. Set aside for 5 minutes, before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
I followed the recipe, and it all went well, except…It tasted a bit bitter. No idea why.

Boxing romance

Lori Foster: Fighter books (They are all the way down there, almost at the bottom)

All the heroins are strong, but you know, one has an abusive ex, the other financial issues, there is a crazy stalker, end even a book where all of a sudden the heroine is a sorta alien (I am not sure, I couldn’t get past it, I think I quit at page 16 or something like that. It was just too weird. You know I love my paranormals, but out of nowhere¬†and in normal books! The heroes are all such good guys, I think you would call them boy scouts, and the love scenes are ok, but overall. I am not a huge fan, but they are readable.

Gb loves you :)

And here are two love related articles, to keep with the topic of the day! Link, link.

I¬†¬†got something from my momma, like always…And a note from a friend. Happy with it, BUT hoping it gets better in the upcoming years!! Prince on the white horse, please come out of hiding!!
